25 Worst Passwords of 2013

This list was compiled by SplashData, a security provider for smartphones and computers. SplashData’s top 25 list was compiled from files containing millions of stolen passwords posted online during the previous year.

“Seeing passwords like ‘adobe123’ and ‘photoshop’ on this list offers a good reminder not to base your password on the name of the website or application you are accessing,” says Morgan Slain, CEO of SplashData.

Also, it looks like X-Files fan take it in the chin. If you thought “trustno1” was a good password idea because of a certain X-Files episode, it looks like you could use a little lesson from the famous quote. In this case, don’t trust X-Files to supply your passwords.
